AHI has been on the web since 2001. It was originally called sistersublime.org, and was far from what AHI is today. Originally, it was free hosting for activists, and later became a community portal for activists, artists, thinkers, etc. In 2003, it became a blog centered on Philadelphia politics, events, and arts.

sistersublime.org became atomicheart industries (AHI) in late 2004, and while the mission stayed the same, the site became the base for design rooted in community support, activism, and passion.
